Pre-Conference Activities
Stone Mountain Park is Serious Fun, Endless Adventure!  It's all waiting for you at Georgia's number one attraction, Stone Mountain Park.  Home to the world's largest piece of exposed granite, this natural wonderland offers 3,200 acres of excitement for every member of the family.  It's always one adventure -- and one memory -- after another.

Vendor Setup
Vendors should report to Salon E-F-G to setup between 4 and 6pm on Wednesday.  Any materials can be sent to CoLinear before 4/21 or to Evergreen Resort.

Conference Registration
Conference Registration will be held outside of Salon E-F-G.   Come get your nametag, visit with the CoLinear gang and mingle with other attendees.

Welcome Reception and Vendor Showcase
We'll kick off the conference with a reception in Salon E-F-G.   Come enjoy several different types of food at each station (and don't miss the chocolate fondue station for dessert!), learn what CoLinear partners are doing, and enjoy the open bar.   Who knows, you may even witness some magic!  Dress code is on the "casual" side of business casual.

Breakfast
The Evergreen Resort always provides great food, and lots of it!  Come enjoy a hot breakfast, fruit, coffee, and juice to get some energy for the day!  Breakfast will take place just outside the entrance of the meeting room, which is Salon E-F-G for Thursday and Friday, and the Rotunda on Saturday.

Response Version 10 / New Features
CoLinear will show you all of the new features we've been hard at work on.  Version 10 has been 5 years in the making, and provides some very powerful new features.  We can't wait to show them to you!

PA-DSS / PCI Compliance and Response
The compliance for payment applications mandated by Visa and the PCI Security Council has proven to be our largest and most time-consuming project to date.   But we're pleased to report that Response has completed lab testing and the Report on Validation is being prepared for the PCI Security Council. Our QSA Vendor T3i will be present to explain this in more detail, and more importantly will tell you what you need to be PCI Compliant, and how Response Version 10 can make a lot of it easy for you!

Transactional and Marketing Email Strategies
Response has long provided the ability to send transactional emails using the Secondary Process Engine, but the interface to create the emails is cumbersome, and typically takes the effort of a programmer or someone very technical.  We've formed a partnership with Bronto to make transactional emails MUCH easier to manage.   In addition, we'll show you how we've integrated to make Marketing emails a reality too!  Bronto is a powerful hosted email engine, and they'll be present to show you the impressive capabilities of their tools.

Lunch with Networking Roundtables
By far the most beneficial part of RUG is the opportunity to learn from other Response users!   We'll query the audience prior to lunch to determine up to 5 roundtable discussions, and post them at various tables in the Waterside Restaurant.   If you're interested in a certain topic, join the group and discuss over a delicious lunch!

Gift Card Processing
The ability to create, activate, sell, redeem, query the balance of gift cards is now a reality!  WTG Card Services provides a service to do it all, and Response is fully integrated.  See how CoLinear's parent company evaluated the various gift card options out there and decided to "build a better mousetrap".

CommerceV3
CommerceV3 is a leading provider of e-commerce storefronts for catalog retailers.  And a valued CoLinear partner!  Response is fully integrated to CommerceV3 using Channel Manager.  Learn how this tool can help you sell effectively online.

Timberline Interactive
Timberline Interactive provides a powerful combination of e-commerce marketing and web development.  They go above and beyond a simple e-commerce, and provide the marketing, strategy, and customization to back it up.  Learn how to add marketing strategy to your web selling initiative.

Channel Manager / RCK / Connecting to Websites
It's a fact of life that online sales are increasing.  It's becoming more and more important to provide seamless connectivity to various online order sources.  See how RCK and Channel Manager can bridge the gap and make seamless integration easy!

Open Floor
We'll go through the directory and discuss issues/topics/concerns relayed by YOU and discuss possible solutions or plans of attack as a group.    This is a very powerful session, always one of the most beneficial of the conference!  Help us make Response a better application by providing your feedback and ideas.

Dinner & Evening Entertainment
Join us on the Evergreen deck for a relaxing evening of delicious food and entertainment!   Enjoy a wonderful assortment of food and the smooth sounds of Michael King.  Dress code for this event is casual.

Response in a B-to-B Environment
See how powerful new features in Response Version 10 empower your business-to-business effort.  Contact management features, outbound call queues, quotations, A/R capability, and alternate pricing/shipping scenarios help you sell to other businesses with ease.

How to Sell Your Business (or Make It More Valuable)
Stuart Rose from Tully & Holland will provide valuable insight on the business valuation process, what things you can do to increase business value, how and when to identify potential buyers, and how to calculate the value of your company.  Some great advice: position your company for sale EVEN IF you don't currently want to sell!  You'll find out why.

Marketing Database Strategies
Geoff Wolf from LENSER will provide some brilliant insight on where to spend your marketing dollars, how to measure the effectiveness of your current strategies, and the benefits of using a true marketing database.  LENSER is a valued partner, and we thank them for being a GOLD sponsor!

Simplifying Sales Tax Compliance
Response has historically done an average job at calculating sales tax on order transactions.   With the growing complexity of sales tax rules, Response is struggling to keep up.   We've decided to defer to the experts and integrate to Avalara and their powerful-but-easy-to-use AvaTax service.  By providing order transaction information to AvaTax, we're able to not only get very accurate sales tax information, the AvaTax service will also ensure compliance AND will produce your sales tax reports for you!  We'll demo the interface and a representative from Avalara will explain how it all works.

30 (or more) things you didn't know Response could do
Scott's personal favorite.    In this session, we'll explore some of the lesser known areas of Response and/or some functionality you may not know existed.   We'll provide 30 or more things that might be of use to you in Response (that you may not know existed).

Response Real World Case Studies (Panel Discussion led by Midco Connections)
Representatives from the Response Community will explain their current procedures in different areas of order processing, and the technology in use.   Learn how things they are doing can be put into use in YOUR company to give you a competitive advantage.

Future of Response / Architecture / Planning / Discussion
In the closing hour of our conference, we want to discuss the future of CoLinear and Response.  This will include topics related to technology architecture, "the cloud", and application delivery mechanisms as well as near- and long-term plans and goals for the business in general.   Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we want to make sure our plans are in line with your needs.

Best Practices / Order Workflow
We'll discuss the entire Response Order Processing Workflow from start to finish, explaining best practices in each area along the way.

Reporting and Data Model
This session will be heavily geared toward the Response Data Model and Crystal Reports.   We'll discuss how to connect Crystal Reports to the database as well as creating simple reports on linked tables.  A free version of the Response Data Reference Guide for Version 10 will be available for download/review over wi-fi.

Integration Strategies
In this discussion, we'll portray Response as the center of a solar system.  There are SO MANY tools and technologies that revolve around e-commerce, marketing, reviews, recommendations, call centers, manifest systems, tax engines, reporting tools that we've created a session to discuss the many ways to connect Response to other tools.  We'll discuss RCK, Channel Manager, and the Secondary Process Engine among other technologies.

Configuration, Flags, and Formulas
In this workshop, we'll explain all of the various ways to make Response behave "differently".  Response is a powerful tool, and while we don't "customize" Response for each individual site, Response is extremely "configurable".  We'll explain ways to add custom fields, setup rules, define expressions, and set options which make Response behave the way YOU need it to.

Importing Data and Other Database Utilities
The final topic of the workshop will cover our Data Import procedures, how to use them to UPDATE existing data, and how to create ad-hoc queries in SQL Management Studio.   This session also covers Channel Manager data import, the creation of import maps for both flat and XML files, and a configurable database-to-database ODBC import tool.
