Up to 5% of your small package shipments are delivered late.  Both UPS and Federal Express have performance guarantees that promise a full refund on the shipping cost when a package is not delivered on time.  There's an easy way your company can receive cash back for those failed deliveries!

FedEx and UPS are two of the finest companies in the world, but their shipments simply don't always arrive on time.  When this happens you’re entitled to a refund.  Period.  The problem is, most companies won’t ever know if a package is delivered late unless the recipient complains.  Even then, few shippers actually take the time and trouble claim the refund since it may cost $10.00 in labor to process a $7.00 refund [all UPS requests for refund must be PHONED IN, for example]. Consequently, over 90% of service failure refunds go unclaimed – that hundreds of millions of dollars per year!  Your company contributes to that undeserved windfall.  But it doesn’t have to anymore.

For high-volume shippers in particular, the potential “revenue” from legitimate, unclaimed refunds is enormous.  That's where Direct Recovery Solutions comes in. We verify the delivery of every package you ship. When a shipment doesn’t meet the delivery promise of the carrier, the cost of that shipment is refunded directly to you.  Automatically.  We also offer extensive stock and custom reporting to assist in your logistics management decisions.

The cost for our service is never out-of-pocket.  There are no upfront expenses, minimum fees or contract term.  This is a truly NO RISK solution to your shipping overcharges.  We simply take our fair share of the refunds we recover and that you wouldn’t have received otherwise.  It’s brainless.  It’s painless.  It’s found money.

If you’re not performing shipment audits you’re leaving money on the table that rightfully belongs to you. Start recouping those losses now!

FAQ

Q. How Does It Work?
A.  After signing up with DRS, you request that UPS sign you up for electronic billing.  Simply email that report to DRS and they’ll take it from there.  If you’re auditing FedX the procedure is even easier.  You’ll authorize DRS to receive your billing info via EDI.  From that point forward it’s completely hands-off.

Q.  Does DRS do anything besides checking for late shipments?
A. Yes!  And they typically find an additional 0.5 – 1% in billing errors including erroneous address corrections and/or residential address penalties.  In many cases, DRS can even audit your old bills to recover erroneous charges.  For example, DRS recovered hundreds of dollars for a client whose shipments to a church had been erroneously rated at the residential level.

Q.  How much does DRS charge for their services?
A.  Ordinarily, DRS (and all other companies that we surveyed) take 50% of the refunds they produce for you.  Response Users will receive an additional 5% discount (i.e. a marginal rate of 47.5% of the recovered refunds).

Q.  For which carriers does DRS offer these shipping and billing audits?
A.  UPS and FEDX only at this time.

Q.  We ship mostly USPS and not a lot by UPS.  Can we still sign up for shipment auditing?

A.  DRS prefers to work with accounts generating ~$25K or more annually with UPS and/or Fed-X.

Q.  We’ve heard that UPS will penalize us by, for example, withdrawing their service guarantee completely if we make too many refund claims.  Is this true?
A.  Technically speaking, yes.  UPS reserves the right to do this.  But, for obvious reasons, it’s extremely unlikely that they would ever enforce this one-side and paradoxical policy.  Worst case, you’d back off and stop requesting refunds to which you’re entitled.  Best case, you’d have the basis for a legal action that top law firms would probably fall all over themselves to represent you ;-)!

Q.  Where can we learn more about DRS and their services?
A.  We’ve posted several documents for your review on our website.
