Multiple Divisions Within Companies
Multiple Divisions allow Response users to operate more than one “Company” within the same Response setup. That means that each company will share the same orders, items, and customers; but will be designated by a Division object. This type of setup makes managing the various companies a much more simple process since running processes like month or year end processing only have to be done once for all companies.
Multiple Companies
Multiple Companies is for users to operate entirely separate stores. Multi Company uses entirely different databases to store and handle all the information per company. Multi-Company is like having several copies of Response installed, each of which manages a specific company. Only the Response programs themselves (and a few look up and configuration files) are shared in a multi-company environment. When you initially login to Response you will be given a choice to choose which Company you want to log into. In a multi company setup inventory, customers, and orders are not shared between companies.
Fully Documented Data Model / Data Reference Guide
Remembering all the different places data is stored can be a challenge. The Response Data Reference guide is a an easy to follow document that lists all the tables and fields within each table. This information makes it easy for users to create complex custom reports, as well as troubleshoot problems. We try to make it as easy as possible to not only use Response, but know whats going on behind the sceens as well.
